Where it all began
Intersect news is all about addressing the systemic issues of today in a way that cuts to the heart of the story, but also provides an intersectional viewpoint - that's why we chose the name!
I founded Intersect News in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic as I realised that the traditional media was too willing to skip over stories, only touching the surface before moving on to the next topic - so I wanted to create an organisation that would discus the actual reasons behind the stories - from how systemic racism, corporate capitalism, the patriarchy and neocolonialism are the real driving forces behind the world we live in today.
At Intersect News, we aim to not only let you know the real reasons for what's going on and why, but what you can do to fix it, build a stronger community, more equal world and a brighter tomorrow.
