Climate Change: The Fact and The Fiction

Climate change is a topic of debate and doubt, but are we and our carbon footprints really to blame, or does the fault lie with the large corporations that led us to believe it was us all along?

Climate change is a topic that many people deem much too big of an issue to cover in the media. However, with the recent unpredictable weather - temperatures rising and ice caps melting, more and more people are taking an interest in the topic of global warming and climate change. On social media, individuals are taking it upon themselves to dispel myths and give cold, hard facts about the earth and the damage we are doing to it.

With new information being given out, quite a few have pointed out that large corporations and companies have been feeding us facts about our footprint, while also spilling plastic into the sea and ramping up the carbon emissions. Fossil fuels companies over the past two decades have made emissions jump by 70%, and that’s only 100 companies.

Whether we as a species like it or not, our planet is changing and it’s a danger to future generations. It’s up to us whether they grow up in a fruitful, vibrant planet or a desolate, barren wasteland.
