Trump and Obama - is there much difference

We’ve seen many people begging previous world leaders, such as Obama and Cameron, to return to office after the shambolic actions of Trump and Johnson during the black lives matter movement.

But are these requests misplaced? Not only do they blatantly ignore Obama’s more than controversial work in the middle east, and Cameron’s orchestration of the entire Brexit fiasco, but how do we know that our previous leaders would have been at all successful or beneficial to the public in our current political climate?

Due to the way our entire society and political system operates, fuelled by systematic racism and a crippling xenophobia, it is impossible to be a good person and be president or prime minister simultaneously.

Why? Because our society profits off of pain.

Look at the middle east. The barefaced lies that Iraq was some sort of inevitable world threat, when in reality, it was a half-starved country that the West could use as a nuclear playground.

In capitalist society’s eyes, what is the destruction of an ancient culture, compared to the billions that can be made from selling weapons of mass destruction to our allies?

The façade of the west being the jolly white big brother here to provide salvation to the lesser third world countries is fading, and it's fading fast.
